Visitors from Paris

Quite a few months ago we received a request from a church in Paris whether they could visit us with a group of their members. Within the church there was a desire to be much more concretely involved in ‘mission’ and what better way to do that than to come and see and see for yourself what it's like here!

And so, after many preparations and whatsapp conversations, a group of 9 French people landed at Lomé airport on 19 October! It was a huge blessing and encouragement to share our work with them! The big advantage, of course, was that the group spoke French and could immediately join the organised activities. For a week, they hung out with members of the EGCT churches...Joint evangelism was organised there were many conversations with local residents of our churches. The group also met the elders, women, young people and a children's club was organised. They also attended the official ‘laying of the foundation stone’ of Institute Tyrannus. Together, we were allowed to place all construction work in God's hands and ask His blessing and protection for the work.
