We look back on a blessed time in NL/Belgium and England.... We were able to share Project Institute Tyrannus with many friends, acquaintances, new friends and churches. From some meetings we have not yet received an echo back.
We are immensely grateful for the support and donations that have come in! A total of 80,000 Euros is now in the Project account!
Here in Togo, we had a meeting with all the elders to update them on the current situation. Last week there was also a meeting with the Architect and all the workmen from our churches who will help build. It was decided not to outsource the construction to a big contractor company. All members from the church, their expertise and work experience, will be put to full use. With the architect, consideration was given to whether we indeed have the knowledge. Extraordinary to see that all the necessary skills are represented. There are masons and builders, carpenters, ironworkers, plumbers, and Pastor Amedome and his team can fully take care of the electrical installation. Alex's brother and fellow elder of our Lomé congregation will be supervising the construction. He will keep the overview, but will send his right-hand man to Atakpamé who will be at the construction site daily. He will oversee how work is done and be the first point of contact. The architect will also continue to oversee the work as construction work develops.
On one of the last days before departure, we bought a small drone. So with this, we hope to be able to regularly visualise the construction from the air. I made this first video with this drone and it shows the construction site and how Atakpamé is slowly but surely developing in the neighbourhood around the plot of land.
